Dolphin Spotting Tour
Activity Highlights
About this activity
Malta sits at the edge of the deep Mediterranean, and the waters off the south coast host resident populations of common and striped dolphins that regularly approach boats. The dolphin spotting tour departs from St Thomas Bay in the morning and heads out to the open water to the south — where sightings are most frequent. When dolphins appear (which happens on most trips), it's spectacular: pods riding the bow wave, jumping alongside, occasionally allowing very close approach. The tour is 1 hour, calm-paced, and suitable for all ages. Your skipper will give commentary on dolphin behaviour throughout. May to September only.
