Chartering a boat in Malta sounds like something you do only for a special occasion, and then you look at the maths: a catamaran for 14 people at €1,170 for a full day works out at €84 each, skipper and fuel included. Split between a group, a private boat costs less per person than most organised day trips.
Here is every 2026 price we charge, what changes between boats, and exactly what you get for the money — no per-person surprises, because the price is always for the whole boat.
Full-day charter prices (about 8 hours)
A full day runs roughly 10:00 to 18:00. You leave from Roland Marina in Ta' Xbiex or from Sliema, and the route is yours to decide with the skipper on the day.

Sunset charter prices (2 to 4 hours)
The evening charter is the cheapest way onto a private boat, and in summer it is arguably the better one: the heat drops, the coast turns gold and the water is still warm enough to swim.

The extras, and what they actually cost
Food is the one thing not included, which is deliberate: plenty of groups bring their own. If you would rather not, catering is prepared for the day of your charter and added when you book.

How the payment works
You pay part of the price online to secure the boat for your date, and the rest on the day of the charter. Your booking is confirmed by email with the marina and the departure time.
If the charter is called off because of the weather, the money you paid online comes back in full or moves to another date — you never lose it to a forecast.
Which boat for which group
- •Two to fourteen people: either 14-guest catamaran, or the sailing yacht if you want it quieter
- •Fifteen to twenty-two: the Lagoon 42, the sailing catamaran or the Bali 4.0
- •Twenty-three to twenty-five: the Lagoon 450, which has a generator for DJ equipment
- •Up to forty-five: the party catamaran, the only boat in the fleet built for a crowd
